Amsterdam and Miami! My contribution

When we started the project, we were throwing out Ideas on how to help Miami in some way and we were thinking of plans and someway to persuade people to use energy more efficiently and help the environment, so we came up with a Public relations plan/ App. I helped with this, and threw it out there because I watched a PR add for coke and is was very successful so I figured it would help this issue in the same fashion!

In our app we utilized the mane points such as equitable business, energy efficiency, low waste, preventable medicine, reduce carbon based fuel! There is a tag in the app that will take you to all of these different categories! Equitable business is aimed more at the colleges and universities wanting to get plans set in motion and completing initiatives. Energy Efficiency is aimed more at using waste as energy and using less energy. Low waste is to persuade people to recycle and like the last point, make use of waste! And the last one is to influence the people in Miami and all over to use bikes instead of cars to help protect the environment!

Another part of my research included researching the particular topic and issue in regards to energy efficiency with Amsterdam and Miami. Miami had a lot of plans that they wanted to get done but never got around to doing it, However; Amsterdam set a lot of plans in motion. In fact Amsterdam is trying to make the entire city a smart city and cutting back on the waste of energy. They have put 500 smart meters in homes around the city. The meters send back data and show how much energy was consumed, and based on how much is used, the meter shows how you can preserve energy and how to cut back on energy consumption and use it smarter. Amsterdam is committed to spending one-million dollars a year until 2017 to put smart meters in all homes in Amsterdam.
